One of the UK's most progressive motoring organisations, RAC has been serving motorists since 1897 and deals with more than two million breakdowns a year on behalf of some seven million members. NGA is providing RAC with a full outsourced payroll service and hosted HR platform using ResourceLink Aurora to underpin its in-house HR operation for 4,000 staff.
RAC was working to short timescales and explored two options for the provision of HR and payroll services, in-house and outsourced. NGA presented options for both delivery models and worked with RAC to create a solution with the flexibility and scalability to move with its business. The decision to outsource its payroll reduced risk and enabled the focus to be on RAC’s core objectives. The single platform solution provided by NGA, which is already used by 500 organisations in the UK, helped RAC to reduce time-consuming administrative processes, providing significant cost and time savings for the business on a day-to-day basis. Experience of working with companies that had added payroll complexity from splitting with parent companies - like Gatwick Airport - was also a key consideration.
