Adur and Worthing choose NorthgateArinso for shared services HR and payroll

Adur District Council and Worthing Borough Council are implementing NorthgateArinso’s ResourceLink Aurora HR and payroll solution as a key component in a shared services programme.

The implementation is one of a series of projects in which resources are being shared to create efficiencies as the two councils move ahead with a formal arrangement of working together.

John Mitchell, Executive Head of Corporate Strategy at Adur and Worthing, says: “We have done a lot of work to harmonise HR and payroll policies and procedures, including carrying out a job evaluation exercise. But it is of course also essential that we have the right systems in place to support a single set of administrative processes. This is what ResourceLink Aurora will deliver for us, along with excellent performance reporting ability on issues such as flexible working, equality and diversity. In the months to come, self service HR and payroll will also be implemented to create further efficiencies.”

Kieron Meakin, Business Development Director at NorthgateArinso said: “We are delighted to be helping Adur and Worthing to realise all the efficiency benefits of shared services. ResourceLink Aurora is proving its suitability for this objective and we are talking to other councils across the country about how we can help them achieve the tangible efficiencies that a shared services approach to HR and payroll can deliver.”

Further strengthening the shared services benefits is the fact that the solution is hosted by Mid-Sussex District Council, who themselves use NorthgateArinso’s ResourceLink solution for HR and payroll.

The project has begun with data migration for payroll and core HR, with the full HR implementation to follow later this year.
