Cobalt takes off with HR support from NorthgateArinso
HR and outsourced payroll help drive London airport ground services smoothly
Cobalt Ground Solutions Ltd, the airport ground services company, has signed a five -year deal with NorthgateArinso for outsourced payroll and an in-house HR system for its 900 employees. Cobalt was created as the result of a recent merger of KLM Ground Services Ltd (KGS) and Air France Services Ltd (AFSL).
The newly formed organisation will use the latest version of NorthgateArinso’s Empower software for all HR processes and a fully managed outsourced payroll service, due to go live in April. NorthgateArinso beat off fierce competition to win the contract.
“With an increased workforce resulting from the merger, we knew that administering a larger number of employees could be a real challenge. We needed a service that would be quick and easy to implement, and would help us stay efficient during a time of change,” said Harminder Kullar, IT Manager at Cobalt. “We chose NorthgateArinso because it could meet our demanding HR requirements quickly and efficiently.”

Cobalt delivers handling services for major international and domestic airlines. It currently operates in London Heathrow and London City Airport.
